The Late Train

The ensemble for early music originates from Berlin and was founded in autumn 2023. The Late Train takes its audience on a journey through the music of the late Renaissance to the early Classical period. They are very much interested in historical and free improvisation, contemporary, and electronic music. They carefully select their concert programs to ensure that their performances are a unique experience for the audience. In their approach to music-making, they try to make every piece “their own”, experimenting with affect, playing techniques, always looking for new sound colours, and sometimes going to extremes.
